Target Population


Any adult convicted of misdemeanor offenses and placed on community supervision (probation)  to participate in a Cognitive Life Skills Program.

Additional participants take this class as a requirement of the El Paso County courts system to meet their cognitive skills educational needs.



Course Objectives

1. To present information on the effects of poor decision making skills that have high probability for negative consequences


2. To help participants identify their own individual thinking patterns to identify faulty thinking.


3. To assist participants in make decisions and take actions that positively impact their lives and the lives of those around them

Parenting Skills Program

Target Population

Any person convicted of misdemeanor offenses and placed on community supervision (probation)  to participate in a Parenting Program.


Any person who is mandated by Local, Federal or  Child Protective Services Agency to participate in a parenting education course.

Additional participants may volunteer into the Parenting Skills Program to aid in the increase of knowledge in healthy parenting deeply rooted in psychology of change.
